Two prominent members of the New York Yankees organization, Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone, spent part of their Friday morning rappelling down the side of a 22-story building in Stamford, Connecticut.

The Bombers' general manager and manager appeared on FOX News alongside Will Cain, who asked Cashman whether Boone's willingness to join Cashman for his annual stunt might earn him a contract extension.

"I've had three managers," Cashman answered. "Ten [years] with Joe Torre, 10 with [Joe] Girardi and hopefully 10 more with Boone."

Boone signed a three-year deal to become the team's 33rd manager in franchise history back on Dec. 4, 2017, with a team option for a fourth year that was exercised for 2021.

The Yankees have been among the winningest teams in the league under Boone, and with Cashman's vote of confidence, it appears Boone's future in the Bronx could extend well beyond next season.

Cashman has scaled down the side of Stamford's Landmark Building each year since 2010 as part of the city's "Heights and Lights" festivities, and 2020 was no different for the longtime Yankees GM.
