BROOKLYN (Sept. 23, 2026) – The Brooklyn Nets have signed forwards Ben Humrichous and Dain Dainja to contracts. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Humrichous (6’7”, 227) played three seasons in NCAA Division I for Illinois (2024-26) and Evansville (2023-24), where he averaged a combined 8.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 25.5 minutes per game across 96 contests (52 starts). Previously, he played three seasons at Huntington University (NAIA) and posted 12.8 points per game on 38.5 percent 3-point shooting across 31 games in his final season for the Foresters in 2022-23. The 24-year-old most recently played for the Nets at the 2026 Las Vegas Summer League and averaged 4.8 points on 35.3 percent shooting from behind the arc to go with 3.8 rebounds in 16.2 minutes per game across four appearances.
Dainja (6’9”, 255) spent last season in the NBA G League with Miami’s Sioux Falls Skyforce, where he averaged 13.1 points on 62.3 percent shooting from the field, 5.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 blocks in 21.9 minutes per game across 50 appearances. The Brooklyn Park, Minn., native played four collegiate seasons for Memphis (2024-25), Illinois (2022-24) and Baylor (2021-22) and averaged 9.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 18.8 minutes per game while shooting 63.2 percent from the floor across 109 career contests (43 starts). In his lone season at Memphis, he averaged career highs of 14.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 blocks while connecting on a conference-leading 61.5 percent of his field goals in 27.2 minutes per game across 35 outings (19 starts), which earned him a spot on the 2024-25 All-AAC First Team and the AAC Newcomer of the Year award. Dainja appeared in five games for the Nets at the 2026 Las Vegas Summer League and averaged 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per contest.
