The New York Yankees and Uber Eats announced an expansion of their partnership, more than doubling the number of stands that allow for in-Stadium mobile ordering and self-pickup. Uber Eats is now available at the majority of fixed concessions stands in general seating areas at Yankee Stadium, including all three Stadium concourses (100 Level, 200 Level and 300/400 Level) and the Bleachers.
There are no additional fees when using Uber Eats to order food at Yankee Stadium, and food prices on the app are the same as those at concession stands. On the app, guests can select the stand they would like to order from, place the order from their seat and then receive a notification that their food is ready for pickup — eliminating the need to stand in line to place an order and wait for food to be prepared.
Additionally, to facilitate access to the Uber Eats app at Yankee Stadium, special QR codes created and patented by Digital Seat have been placed adjacent to all seats in the general seating bowl. Guests can simply scan the Digital Seat QR code on their smart phones to begin using the Uber Eats app.
“We are thrilled to partner with both the Yankees and Uber Eats and look forward to enhancing the fan experience in even more ways in the future,” said Cameron Fowler, CEO of Digital Seat.
To celebrate the expanded partnership, the Yankees have announced a special ticket offer — the Grand Slam 4-Pack presented by Uber Eats — which includes four tickets and four $20 Uber Eats vouchers for use in Yankee Stadium. One of the best values among all Yankees ticket specials, this offer is available for 21 different upcoming games this season. Prices and seat locations vary. “We are really excited about being able to provide the convenience of Uber Eats mobile ordering and self-pickup to every guest attending a game at Yankee Stadium,” said Marty Greenspun, Yankees Senior Vice President of Strategic Ventures. “Regardless of what section our guests are sitting in, they can review menus on their phones and order food from any of the 18 different stands serviced by Uber Eats, eliminating the need to wait in line to place an order. The Uber Eats app is simple to use, and the Digital Seat QR codes make initiating orders as easy as possible. Mobile ordering and self-pickup are huge enhancements to the in-Stadium experience, allowing our fans to spend more time with friends and family watching the game.”
“We’re thrilled to be back at Yankee Stadium for another season, helping more fans get their favorite gameday snacks with easy skip-the-line ordering,” said Laura Hahn, General Manager of New York and New Jersey at Uber. “Whether grabbing a bag of popcorn or buying a meal for the entire family, consumers can use Uber Eats’ technology to quickly grab their snacks — and get back to the game — without missing a play.”
