New York Yankees acquire OF Cam Eden

On Thursday, the Yankees acquired OF Cam Eden from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for cash considerations.

Eden, 26, has hit .198 (56-for-283) with 34R, 10 doubles, two triples, 7HR, 35RBI, 39BB and 26SB in 91 games with Triple-A Buffalo this season. The right-handed batter made his Major League debut with Toronto last season, appearing in five games with the club. Over five Minor League seasons in the Blue Jays organization (2019, ’21-24), Eden has hit .236 (330-for-1,399) with 212R, 64 doubles, seven triples, 27HR, 166RBI, 158BB and 153SB in 420 games. The Yuba City, Calif., native was selected by Toronto in the sixth round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of California, Berkeley.

Eden has been assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
