BROOKLYN (Sept. 3, 2025) – The Brooklyn Nets have re-signed center Day’Ron Sharpe to a multi-year contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
Sharpe (6’9”, 265) has spent his entire four-year NBA career (2021-25) with Brooklyn after the Nets selected him with the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft via a trade with Phoenix. In 50 games (two starts) for Brooklyn during the 2024-25 season, the 23-year-old recorded averages of 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18.1 minutes per game – all career highs – while shooting 52.0 percent from the field. He led the Nets in offensive rebounds per game (3.0), defensive rating (107.1) and rebounding percentage (17.4) while recording four double-doubles and blocking multiple shots in 11 games. Sharpe also ranked fourth in the league among reserves in total second-chance points (133) and fifth among reserves in total offensive rebounds (132) last season. Since entering the league, Sharpe’s offensive rebounding percentage (19.4) is the highest in the NBA (min. 100 games played).
In 191 games (14 starts) for the Nets, Sharpe holds career averages of 6.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 14.5 minutes per contest while shooting 55.0 percent from the field. He has also appeared in three playoff games for Brooklyn over two postseason appearances (2022 and 2023). The Greenville, N.C., native previously played one collegiate season (2020-21) at the University of North Carolina and earned ACC All-Freshman Team honors.
