With the official start of Major League Baseball's free agency period getting underway Monday evening, the Yankees announced a series of roster moves.
Outfielders Franchy Cordero and Billy McKinney along with right-handers Matt Bowman, Jimmy Cordero, Domingo Germán and Ryan Weber all elected free agency in lieu of accepting an outright assignment. Additionally, catcher Carlos Narvaez was selected to the 40-man roster.

RHP Domingo Germán (20G/19 GS):
W-L: 5-7, 108.2 IP, 4.56 ERA, 83 H, 55 ER, 114 K, 34 BB, 1.077 WHIP
RHP Ryan Weber (8 G):
W-L: 1-0, 14.1 IP, 3.14 ERA, 17 H, 5 ER, 7 K, 1 BB, 1.256 WHIP
Per Yankees PR: Narvaez, 24, has spent parts of seven minor league seasons in the Yankees organization (2016-19, ‘21-23), batting .249 (337-for-1,354) with 203R, 58 doubles, 2 triples, 36HR, 179RBI, 221BB and 14SB in 400 career games. In 2023, the right-handed hitter combined with Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to hit .239 (82-for-343) with 48R, 18 doubles, 12HR, 44RBI, 64BB, 9HP and 6SB in 100 games. Narvaez was re-signed by the Yankees to a minor league contract on October 21, 2022. The Maracay, Venezuela, native was originally signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent on July 2, 2015.
