Yankee Stadium and NYU congratulate the Class of 2024 graduates on their achievements and look forward to hosting NYU’s 191st All-University Commencement Exercises on Wednesday, May 15. Our aim is for all graduates and their guests — most of whom lost the opportunity to be part of in-person graduation ceremonies in 2020 — to be able to enjoy this joyful day to its fullest, to feel welcome and safe, and to have the proceedings go smoothly.

To that end, graduates and guests are reminded to carefully review the details of all University communications regarding Commencement, protocols for the ceremony and Stadium rules that otherwise apply to the Commencement, including Yankee Stadium’s Policies and Procedures, Entry and Carry-In Policy, and the Guest Code of Conduct, among other information. Graduates and guests are also asked to follow the directions of personnel on hand — Stadium staff, Stadium security and New York City Police Officers — to ensure the safety of all attendees.

The All-University Commencement Exercises will take place rain or shine (though potentially not in the event of hazardous weather conditions).

To preemptively address some commonly asked questions, invited graduates and guests for NYU Commencement Exercises should make special note of the following:

• Entry: In order to enter Yankee Stadium, invited graduates and guests must present a valid mobile ticket and pass a security screening.

- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags up to 12”x12”x6”

No other bags will be permitted. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the gate. Items that are typically carried in diaper or baby bags may be carried in bags that meet the standards of the bag policy above. Attendees may bring in binoculars and cameras (with lens less than 4" in length), provided they are not in cases.

• Prohibited Items: Prohibited items include the following:

- Banners, signs, posters, and flags
- Large bags and luggage (see above)

- Metal water bottles
- Air horns or other distracting noisemakers
- Other items that fall within Yankee Stadium's list of Prohibited Items

• No Storage: There is no storage facility at Yankee Stadium. Guests arriving by public transportation should take particular care not to bring any prohibited items, as no exceptions will be made.
