With the Washington Wizards in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, league sources have told ESPN that All-Star guards John Wall and Bradley Beal -- and everyone else on the roster -- are available in trade talks.
The Wizards have been to the playoffs four of the past five seasons, but are off to a 5-11 start heading into Tuesday night's home game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Head coach Scott Brooks expressed his frustration this weekend after double-digit losses at home to the Brooklyn Nets and Portland Trail Blazers.
"We got to just play with more enthusiasm, more effort, more energy," Brooks told reporters Sunday. "It's embarrassing."
Sources told ESPN that Washington still hopes to reshape the team around Wall and Beal, but that there has been only lukewarm interest in forwards Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre on the trade market.
Previously the Wizards had resisted included Wall or Beal in trade discussions for either Kawhi Leonard or Jimmy Butler, according to the sources.
Wall, 28, is a five-time All-Star. The point guard is averaging 20.9 points, 7.9 assists and 2.0 steals through 16 games this season. Beal, 25, made his first All-Star team in 2017-18 and is averaging 21.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists this season.
