
The New York Yankees have traded INF Keiner Delgado to the Pittsburgh Pirates as the player to be named later in the 3/29/24 trade in which the Yankees acquired RHP JT Brubaker.
Delgado, 20, spent the entire 2023 season with the FCL Yankees, batting .293/.414/.485 (58-for-198) with 54R, 12 doubles, one triple, 8HR, 31RBI, 36BB and 36SB in 49 games. Over two Minor League seasons in the Yankees organization (2022-23), Delgado has batted .301/.459/.954 (110-for-366) with 104R, 28 doubles, five triples, 11HR, 59RBI, 94BB and 70SB in 101 games. The Guarenas, Venezuela, native was originally signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent on 5/6/21.
