Over parts of three Major League seasons with the Los Angeles Angels (2020), Baltimore Orioles (2021) and Milwaukee Brewers (2023), he has batted .179 (15-for-84) with 9 R, 4 doubles, 7 RBI, 5 BB and 2 SB in 36 career games. Jones has appeared exclusively at second base throughout his Major League career (27G/23GS).
The Roswell, Ga., native was originally selected by the Los Angeles Angels in second round of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of Wesleyan High School (Ga.). Jones was acquired by the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for RHP Alex Cobb and cash considerations on February 2, 2021. He was released by Baltimore on June 3, 2022, and signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a Minor League free agent on July 23, 2022. After being released by the Dodgers on July 1, 2023, he was then signed by the Milwaukee Brewers as a Minor League free agent on July 3, 2023.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the Yankees designated INF Jordan Groshans for assignment.
