FAQ
Q: Why are the Yankees and Nets games not televised with YES' national service?
A: Due to league blackout restrictions, YES is prohibited from airing Yankees and Nets games outside of each team's respective local viewing area. YES' primary coverage area includes all of New York and Connecticut along with parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. These league designed territories are applied to protect the local television rightsholder in each participating team's home market.
Q: I live outside of the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets local viewing area. How can I watch live Yankees and/or Nets games?
A: Out-of-market fans seeking live Yankees games can contact their television service provider and purchase MLB Extra Innings or, if your video provider does not offer MLB Extra Innings, subscribe online to MLB.TV to catch the 27-time World Series champions all season long!
Brooklyn Nets fans can contact their video provider and watch their favorite team with a subscription to NBA League Pass or, if NBA League Pass is not offered, subscribe online to NBA TV.
Q: What programming will I receive when a live game or encore presentation is airing?
A: YES National subscribers are never left in the dark as we provide substitute programming in place of live games and encore presentations. Subscribers can take in the latest CenterStage episode and catch up on the latest sports headlines with a simulcast of one of the nation's most popular sports talk personalities, Michael Kay. Add these programs to our Emmy Award-winning Yankeeography series and fans are covered with YES' most popular shows!
