BROOKLYN (Sept. 3, 2025) – The Brooklyn Nets have signed forward E.J. Liddell to a two-way contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Liddell (6’6”, 237) spent the 2024-25 season on a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, averaging 1.8 points in 4.4 minutes per game across 12 appearances. He also saw action in eight games during the 2023-24 campaign with the New Orleans Pelicans. The 24-year-old missed his rookie season after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee during a Summer League game in Las Vegas. In addition to his NBA experience, Liddell spent time with the Birmingham Squadron (New Orleans’ NBA G League affiliate) and the Windy City Bulls (Chicago’s NBA G League affiliate), logging action in 65 career NBA G League games. Liddell appeared in 36 games (34 starts) with Windy City last season, registering averages of 15.2 points on 47.3 percent shooting from the field and 37.3 percent shooting from 3-point range, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 blocks in 31.7 minutes per contest.

Liddell was originally selected with the 41st overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft by New Orleans after spending three years (2019-22) at Ohio State. The Belleville, Ill., native earned All-America Third Team honors as a junior and was named First Team All-Big Ten in both his sophomore and junior campaigns.
